Emily Stüber completed her Bachelor’s degree in History this summer and is now studying the Master’s program “Epistemologies of Science and Technologies” at the University of Vienna. She is primarily interested in and researching Public History and the co-production of science and society. Other areas of focus are Women’s and Gender History or Queer History.
From the traineeship “Digital Public History” she hopes above all to get an insight into the everyday life of scientists and to learn practice-oriented skills on top of the regular studies, such as how to use WordPress, Wikipedia and further key competences in the field. All of this is covered in our 12-part curriculum. In addition, Emily Stüber will be assisting us with the preparation and execution of our events, with highlight this year being the Vienna Public History Lecture held by Patrick Bahners. She will also conduct an interview with our Associate Scholar Na Li, which will be published in January 2024.
